  • Led a small team to produce a resource outlining structure, function and failure modes of all PEM fuel cell components

I learned about manufacturing processes design, cost analysis, developing patents and materials engineering.

QUEEN'S UNIVERSITY DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY

The Liu Group (Queen's University Department of Chemistry) focuses on applied materials and nanotechnology. It has a particular interest in block copolymers, self-assembling materials and useful nano-structures.

  • Developed novel, one pot synthesis method for block-copolymer coated iron oxide nanoparticles
  • Learned to use transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy
  • Performed inorganic synthesis in an oxygen free environment

I can develop new techniques and protocols at the cutting edge of the nanotechnology field.

QUEEN'S FUEL CELL TEAM

The Queen's Fuel Cell Team is an undergraduate engineering design team at Queen's University. The team works on applications of hydrogen fuel cells in small vehicles. It is student run and self directed. It is currently constructing the world's first hydrogen fuel cell snowmobile.

The Queen's iGEM team is an undergraduate synthetic biology team at Queen's University. The team engineers microorganisms to perform new functions.
